Start with Hello Week kicked off today with Table Talk Tuesday, as we encouraged our middle and high schoolers to engage in different conversations with their peers!

This week, Cuyahoga Heights Middle School Students are joining Start With Hello Week, inspired by Sandy Hook Promise's national Start With Hello program. From Table Talk Tuesday to Find a Friend Friday, students will spend the week reaching out, including others, and building connections across our school community. We can't wait to see our Middle School students show how a little kindness makes a big difference and encourage their peers to reach new heights!

Congratulations to 7th grader Anella Doan who represented Heights at the All-Ripken Softball Tournament in Sandusky. She drove in the championship-winning run AND took home 12U Division MVP. Talk about reaching new heights! We are so proud of you, Anella!

Last week we welcomed our new middle and high school students with a luncheon alongside some of their student leader peers. We are so excited to have them join our Heights family and can't wait to see how they'll reach new heights!

This past week, 3rd Grade students in Mrs. Runger’s, Mrs. Smith’s and Ms. Zingale’s classes enjoyed a special read-aloud with Superintendent Mr. Young! Superintendent Young read “All Are Welcome” by Alexandra Penfold, a story that celebrates belonging, inclusion, and the idea that everyone has a place in their school community. Mr. Young also talked with students about why he loves working in education and shared some of his favorite things about being a superintendent. Can you guess what he said his favorite part was? The students of course! What a great way to start the school year and remind our Red Wolves that all are welcome here! Thank you, Mr. Young!

Employees at MilliporeSigma’s Cuyahoga Heights location recently held a school supply drive and generously donated the collected items to Cuyahoga Heights Elementary School.
