Cuyahoga Heights Middle School/High School parent-teacher conferences are coming up! Join us Thursday, October 29, from 4-7 p.m. or Friday, October 30, from noon-3 p.m.
High school conferences will be located in the cafeteria.
Middle school conferences will occur in the following locations:
Grade 6: teachers’ classrooms
Grades 7-8: upper level of Media Center
Middle school conferences are scheduled through parent sign-ups and teacher invitations. All middle school conferences are student-led, so students must attend with their parents.

The sun was shining, trunks were decked out and many smiles were seen this past Saturday at the PTO's 4th annual Trunk-or-Treat! Thank you to all who attended and helped make this event a success!
The girls soccer team will compete in the first round of the OHSAA tournament tonight at home at 7pm. Please see the attached ticket information. Government lessons came to life for our eighth graders today during a field trip to bankruptcy court in Cleveland! As students explore the three branches of government in Mrs. Wajda’s and Mr. Tartara’s history classes, this visit gave them a firsthand look at the judicial branch in action.

It is with sadness that we share the passing of Nicholas Young, son of Superintendent Matt Young, on Tuesday, October 13, following a courageous battle with DSRCT sarcoma. Although his life was far too short, Nicholas touched countless lives through his strength, faith, determination, and deep love for his family and friends.
Our hearts are with Matt and the entire Young family. Many in our school community share in their sorrow and want to offer love and support during this incredibly difficult time.
Cuyahoga Heights Schools will be closed on Monday, October 19, the day of Nicholas' funeral. Given the anticipated staff absences associated with the funeral, the District will be unable to maintain normal school operations. This closure will also allow our staff and community members the opportunity to attend the funeral and support the Young family.

Congratulations to our Cross Country Seniors!
Cuyahoga Heights High School seniors gained valuable money management skills on October 14 during a presentation by Michael Spangler, Director and Wealth Advisor with Sequoia Financial Group.
From budgeting and credit scores to saving, investing, compound interest and student loans, students learned how smart financial decisions today can shape their futures.
“Every student in this room has the potential to retire a millionaire if they start early,” Spangler told students.
Thank you to Spangler for sharing his expertise and to Julie Regula, career specialist with Cuyahoga Valley Career Center, for coordinating this opportunity to help seniors prepare for life after graduation!

New and exciting books and stories are coming to Cuyahoga Heights Elementary! The Scholastic Book Fair is October 12–16 during library time! Students can browse, discover new favorites, and find their next great read.

Cuyahoga Heights Elementary School students in preschool (a.m. and p.m.), fourth grade, and fifth grade are invited to bring their VIP guests to school on Friday, October 2, from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m.
Students and their guests will enjoy a light breakfast and a drink, along with a simple craft provided by the PTO. This year, VIP Day will take place in each grade-level area.
We can’t wait to welcome our CHES VIPs tomorrow morning!
