Our third graders blended reading and art in Wit & Wisdom Module 1! After studying Hokusai's The Great Wave off Kanagawa, they created their own versions, using line, color, and composition to show the sea's beauty and danger.

We're halfway through the first quarter and our middle schoolers are shining! These students earned a special Howl Out from their teachers for living out our core values. Thanks to our PTO for the popcorn celebration!

Ms. Amato’s 6th grade class stopped by StarBOOKS — aka the MS/HS Library — to browse our “menu” of books. Just like placing a coffee order, students practiced making informed choices by reading the “flavor notes” to see what each book is all about before deciding on their perfect pick.
Students learned the process of browsing books by scanning the cover, reading the blurb on the back, and pre-reading the first page to make sure their StarBOOKS order was just right.
Ms. Amato's students will return periodically to StarBOOKS to place a fresh order for new books!
