The Cuyahoga Heights Middle and High School staff once again held their own against the seniors in this year’s game of Seniors vs. Staff Dodgeball, which took place at the end of the school day on May 3. The whole senior class donned their pink shirts, which they had purchased to raise money for the Cleveland Kids’ Book Bank, and took to the court to face such perennial powerhouses as Dr. Roy, Mr. Martin, Ms. Neville, and Mr. Robinson as well as some newer participants to be reckoned with such as Mr. Bryk, Mrs. Broski, Miss Castle, and Mr. DeTray. Despite several highly-respected regulars needing to sit out this year due to injury, a total of 12 staff members represented the teaching, custodial, and administrative teams of Cuyahoga Heights Schools. On the student side of things, both Hannah Flynn and Kellen Katona made incredible catches, while Fletcher Sturgill and Francis Connors demonstrated consistent athleticism throughout several rounds of play. In the end, a great time was had by all in attendance and, as usual, the official winner is still grounds for debate.
