Cuyahoga Heights Athletic Director Ryan Kelber Receives Top Ohio Award

Cuyahoga Heights Schools’ Athletic Director Ryan Kelber has received the Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (OIAAA) Bruce Brown Award of Excellence, the highest athletic administration honor in Ohio. Kelber was recognized at OIAAA's conference on November 13.

The Bruce Brown Award is awarded to athletic departments that demonstrate education-based programming and best practices in interscholastic athletics administration. Only 27 Ohio high schools have achieved this prestigious award.

“I’m humbled to be honored at the state level,” said Kelber. “This wouldn't be possible without support from our administrators, coaches, staff, students and families.”

As Athletic Director since 2018, Kelber oversees all athletic functions including schedules, budgets, facilities, and more. He previously held the same role at Brooklyn City Schools for six years.

Kelber has a Master's in Athletic Administration from Ohio University. In 2022, he was named Northeast Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association Athletic Director of the Year.
