Madelyn Osborne, a student at Cuyahoga Heights High School, was recognized for her outstanding work in the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center’s (CVCC) Education Professions program as the March Student Spotlight.
Under the guidance of instructor Josephine Everhart, Madelyn pursued hands-on learning opportunities that allowed her to explore her passion for education. Inspired by her mother, a special education teacher, she developed a strong interest in the field and embraced the chance to gain real-world experience through CVCC.
Throughout the program, Madelyn expanded her understanding of teaching while collaborating with students from other school districts and experiencing a variety of classroom settings. Her dedication and skill were recently showcased at the Educators Rising State Conference in Columbus, where she earned a Top 10 placement in Lesson Planning and Delivery in the Humanities category.
This achievement qualified Madelyn for the Educators Rising National Conference, which will take place in Portland, Oregon this June.
Looking ahead, Madelyn plans to continue building her experience through field placements in elementary, middle, high school, and intervention classrooms. After graduation, she intends to pursue a career in education with the goal of becoming a high school history teacher.
Cuyahoga Heights Schools congratulates Madelyn on this accomplishment and looks forward to her continued success.
