Cuyahoga Heights Local Schools has named David Escott as its Dean of Students for grades 6-12.
Escott joins the district after spending six years at Twinsburg Middle School, where he served as an intervention specialist and led the school's middle school wrestling and football programs as head coach.
His experience in special education has given him a strong understanding of how to meet students' individual needs while building positive partnerships with families. Through his years as a coach, Escott has also developed a passion for mentoring young people and helping them grow both academically and personally.
"I am thrilled to join the Cuyahoga Heights Schools family as the Dean of Students for grades 6-12," said Escott. "I look forward to getting to know our students, staff, and families and supporting a positive school environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed."
Escott earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education (K-12) from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Science degree in Special Education from Youngstown State University. He is also completing his Principal Licensure through the University of Mount Union.
