Members of the high school and eighth-grade orchestra earned a rating of “Excellent” and received a trophy for their performance at Cedar Point on Saturday, May 16 during the park’s “Performance in the Parks” festival. Professional clinicians judged the performances that took place that day.
“I could not be prouder of all their hard work,” said Orchestra Director Grace Brown. The students performed “The Ash Grove”, a traditional Welsh folk song arranged by Jim Palmer, and “Viva La Vida” by Coldplay arranged by Larry Moore.
Afterwards, they relaxed and enjoyed the rides at Cedar Point, where despite a little drizzle early in the afternoon, the weather was perfect.
