"A Bug's Life" by Emma Jasper.

The annual Spring Art Show held April 24 in the Art Wing and Cafeteria, celebrated the hard work of students enrolled in art classes at Cuyahoga Heights Middle School/High School.

The entries were judged by the Art Department and district staff members. Patrons were also invited to vote for their favorite artwork on display. 

The following students were recognized for “having the most outstanding and creative work submitted among all the entries this school year,” said art teacher Cass Penegor who headed coordination of the event. 

Best in Show: 

Sophia Jackson, tenth grade, Surrealism (Colored Pencil)

First Place: 

Jemma D'Amico,  eleventh grade, Ceramic Mask (ceramic, mixed media)

Second Place:  

Emma Gasper, tenth  grade, "Eye of the Beholder" (acrylic on canvas)

Third  Place: 

Alina Hughes, eleventh grade, Hand Composition (pencil)
