Report Card infographic

The Ohio Department of Education has recognized Cuyahoga Heights Schools (CHS) as one of the state's highest-performing districts on the 2024-25 Ohio School Report Card.

CHS earned an overall 5-star rating (the highest possible) and ranks 20th out of 607 Ohio school districts, placing us in the top 4% statewide. This rating means CHS "significantly exceeds state standards" in educating all students. Only 47 districts in Ohio earned a 5-star rating.

Each of the district's three schools also earned 5-star overall ratings:

  • Cuyahoga Heights Elementary School: Top 3% in Ohio (#87 out of 3,318 schools)

  • Cuyahoga Heights Middle School: Top 5% in Ohio (#152 out of 3,318 schools)

  • Cuyahoga Heights High School: Top 3% in Ohio (#83 out of 3,318 schools)

What this Means

The State Report Card measures not just how well students perform on tests, but also how much they grow academically each year and how well we serve students from all backgrounds. Our results show that Cuyahoga Heights students consistently achieve at high levels while making exceptional academic progress.

A Well-Rounded Education

Academic excellence is just one part of our story. This year we're also celebrating:

  • 30 Advanced Placement Scholars recognized by the College Board, with students earning college credit through 14 Advanced Placement courses.

"These achievements reflect the dedication of our exceptional staff, the support of involved families, and a community that values education," said Superintendent Matt Young. "We remain committed to providing each student with rigorous academics, meaningful extracurricular opportunities, and the personal attention that comes with our close-knit school environment. Together, we're preparing our students not just for academic success, but for meaningful lives and careers."
