Students attend orientation

Cuyahoga Heights Schools welcomed new students and their families during New Student Orientations on August 11 and 13.

Families had the opportunity to learn about district, academic and co-curricular programs, and essential tips for success in the upcoming school year.

Superintendent Matt Young and school administrators provided valuable information about electronic applications, communication tools, and ways families can stay engaged and connected. A Q&A session offered parents and students the chance to ask questions and ease any first-day jitters.

“Our goal is to ensure every new student and their family feels confident and prepared as they begin their journey with us,” said Middle School/High School Principal Scott DeTray. “We’re excited to have these students join our school family," added Elementary School Principal Joel Melvin.

School for students in grades 1-12 begins on Thursday, August 21. Parents and families of Kindergarten and Pre-K students have been notified of their students' start dates.
