Family enjoys board game.

Students, parents, siblings, and other family members turned out for the annual Family Game Night at Cuyahoga Heights Elementary School (CHES) on Friday, March 14. In addition to enjoying games, this year's event featured Literacy Night in the school library where families enjoyed engaging, literacy-focused games and activities together.

Information tables featured resources from the Cuyahoga County Public Library and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. The Imagination Library provides free books each month to children from birth to age five who are enrolled in the program. Thanks to their generosity, donated books were available for students and families at the event. The PTO also donated Dogman Comic Books as a give away. In addition, families enjoyed read-aloud sessions with Superintendent Matt Young and Principal Joel Melvin. “It was a memorable and interactive storytelling experience,” noted Kelly Cummins, speech-language pathologist. “It was a wonderful evening celebrating the joy of reading!”

In addition, family enjoyed playing various board games. Bingo took place in the gym and a scavenger hunt was held .
