February Students of the Month

Students of the Month were recognized at the February 26 Board meeting. Board members presented each student a certificate to commemorate their accomplishment. 

Representing Cuyahoga Heights Elementary School are the following:

Ruby Wymer – Grade 1

Ruby’s teachers say she enters the classroom with a smile that brightens the classroom every day.  She spreads positivity and puts a smile on everyone's face who she comes in contact with throughout her day.  Her kind heart is displayed daily in her interactions with peers and teachers.  She always has kind words or a helping hand to anyone who needs them.  She has a fantastic sense of humor that she willingly shares with others. When faced with a hard task, Ruby shows great determination.  From her handwriting to detailed illustrations, the quality of work she turns in is exceptional. 

Liam Harris – Grade 1

Liam is a shining example of what it means to be a compassionate, dedicated, and positive member of our school community. Liam’s teachers say that he is a shining example of what it means to be a compassionate, dedicated, and a positive member of our school community. Liam consistently demonstrates exceptional kindness and positivity, both toward peers and adults. He helps create an atmosphere of warmth and fun in the classroom. A curious learner, he approaches each lesson with enthusiasm and an eagerness to understand, asking thoughtful questions and sharing insights with others. His persistence and positive attitude is evident in everything he does — whether it's mastering a difficult concept or persevering through challenges. His honesty and integrity are always on display. He strives to do what’s right, setting an excellent example for others. 

From Cuyahoga Heights Middle School: 

Molly Kapinski – Grade 6

Molly’s Physical Education teacher says she consistently displays exceptional sportsmanship, demonstrating respect and encouragement toward classmates. She gives her best effort in every activity and actively participates with enthusiasm and positivity.  Whether it’s the Monday Mile, competitive games or trying new things Molly exemplifies responsibility by always coming to class prepared and eager to engage. As a teammate, she stays upbeat and never gives up creating a supportive and fun environment for everyone. 

Audrey Morway – Grade 7

Audrey exemplifies the qualities of a truly unique and outstanding student. She shines brightly in everything she does, from excelling academically in advanced classes to spreading kindness and positivity among her peers. She consistently maintains good grades and a remarkable work ethic and determination. In advanced classes, she embraces challenges with curiosity and enthusiasm, setting an example for others. What truly makes Audrey stand out, however, is her kind heart and ability to be a loyal and thoughtful friend. She is always there to lend a helping hand, encourage others, and bring smiles to those around her. 

John Menkhaus – Grade 8

John truly stands out in our school for being his authentic self and bringing a fresh perspective to everything he does, say his teachers. He is truly unique!  Whether it’s tackling class projects, sharing creative ideas, or just being himself, John shows that it’s cool to embrace who you are.  We’re proud to have John as part of our school community and can’t wait to see all the amazing things he will do. 

From Cuyahoga Heights High School:

Madeline Perconti – Grade 9

Madeline is a conscientious and diligent student in all of her classes, says her art teacher.  Though soft-spoken, she shares ideas with others. Her work is always top notch and done with great skill and creativity. “I look forward to seeing Madeline continue to grow throughout her academic career at Cuyahoga Heights,”her teacher says.

Alina Hughes – Grade 10 

Alina is doing a wonderful job in class, says her Algebra 1 teacher.  She has challenged herself to perform at a high level and is succeeding.  She has a great attitude and is an asset to our class.

Logan Fesler  – Grade 11 

Logan is off to a great start in the third  quarter, says his math teacher. He has done a great job this quarter getting work done on time. His hard work has paid off as he earned an “A” on his first test of the grading period. His teacher is proud of Logan’s efforts in Algebra 2. 

Jaymes Kleinsmith – Grade 12

This year, Jaymes has challenged himself by taking Advanced Placement (AP) Psychology which is a college-level course, and has done a phenomenal job. He has also had a fantastic bowling season and works hard outside of school. His teacher is excited to learn that he is attending the University of Akron next year. “I can’t wait to see him continue to grow and challenge himself,” his teacher says.
