Bryce Rusch

Cuyahoga Heights High School junior Bryce Rusch gets a real charge about being a student in the Electrical Systems program at the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (CVCC). He had positive feedback from his peers about the school. He was also influenced by his cousins to work in the field and enjoy their careers.

A visit to CVCC and a discussion with teacher Joseph McNamee convinced him to enroll. His participation and enjoyment in the program are what led to his being featured in the CVCC’s Student Connection for September.

Bryce most enjoys the hands-on learning that the program provides. He appreciates that he’s not spending the entire school day in a traditional classroom setting. He also values the unique opportunity to collaborate with students from different high schools

Beyond academics, Bryce plays soccer, football, and baseball at CHHS. In his free time, he loves riding dirt bikes and spending time with his friends. While Bryce dreams of becoming a professional soccer player, he also sees a future in the electrical industry.

His advice to future CVCC students: “Always put in your best effort and give everything your all.”
