A message from Superintendent Tom Evans...
Welcome to the Cuyahoga Heights Schools! As a proud graduate of the district, I consider it a privilege and an honor to serve as the Superintendent of the Cuyahoga Heights Schools. Our district features three school buildings which serve 845 students from the villages of Brooklyn Heights, Cuyahoga Heights and Valley View, in addition to tuition students from nearby communities.
For over seventy-five years, the Cuyahoga Heights Schools has maintained a commitment to academic achievement and has achieved national recognition. Cuyahoga Heights High School was named a 2013 National Blue Ribbon School and has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report with a silver medal distinction for being one of the top schools in the nation and the state of Ohio. With small class sizes and a focus on meeting the learning needs of all students, the Cuyahoga Heights Schools is dedicated to fulfilling its mission of graduating students who possess college and career readiness, critical thinking skills, cultural awareness and are prepared to be successful and contributing citizens of the 21st century.
The district also possesses an award-winning music education program which has received the Best Communities for Music Education Award by the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation for ten consecutive years. Students also have an opportunity to compete on eighteen different athletic teams which have also experienced consistent success in post-season competition.
Communicating with parents and community members is a key focus of the Cuyahoga Heights Schools. Your support is critical to the continued success of our students and district as a whole. One of the many ways the district keeps parents and the community informed is through TOM Talks, a monthly correspondence from the Superintendent which provides important district news and accomplishments. I encourage you to read the latest edition below to learn more about our district. We are very proud of the accomplishments of our students and staff, and with the continued support of the community look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence.
