This included two fifth graders from Cuyahoga Heights Elementary School (CHES), along with one student from each grade at Cuyahoga Heights Middle School (CHMS) and Cuyahoga Heights High School (CHHS). Students received a certificate commemorating their recognition.

Darius consistently makes good choices throughout the entire school day.  We can always count on Darius to be Caring, Honest, Engaged, and Safe.

Cuyahoga Heights Middle School

Josephine Wyman, Grade 6

Josephine Wyman is the sixth-grade Student of the Month for October. Since the start of the school year, JoJo has demonstrated focus, diligence, and leadership in all of her classes. Examples include her consistent preparation for class, active participation, and willingness to always go the extra mile in everything she does. JoJo’s positive energy and kindness are contagious. Moreover, her daily habits are an excellent example of how to continually strive to reach your personal best. We are excited to see all that JoJo will accomplish this school year and beyond.

Elizabeth Heller, Grade 7

Lizzy exhibits leadership traits that are rare not only for a seventh grader, but also for leaders in high school and beyond. As a seventh grader, she has already developed a strong understanding of servant leadership, consistently putting others first, supporting those around her, and leading by example. Her positive attitude, genuine kindness and unwavering commitment make her a valued member of every group she joins. Lizzy understands that leadership is not defined by a title, but by the positive influence we have on others. Through her everyday actions, she inspires her peers, strengthens relationships, and makes our school community better. Lizzy is truly an outstanding student whose compassion, character and dedication to excellence shine in everything she does.

Alexandria Wysocki, Grade 8

Allie Wysocki is an excellent example of compassion in our school community. She consistently treats others with kindness, respect, and understanding, and she is always willing to help those around her. In addition to showing compassion toward her classmates and teachers, she is dedicated to her academics. She works hard, stays focused, and consistently completes and turns in her assignments. Her caring attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to doing her best make her a wonderful choice for Student of the Month.

Cuyahoga Heights High School

Rose Jackson, Grade 9

Rose is an outstanding student who consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to academic excellence. She approaches each lesson with focus, enthusiasm and a genuine desire to learn. Rose stays actively engaged in class, completes assignments on time, and performs at a high level on assessments. What makes her especially impressive is the academic maturity and personal responsibility she demonstrates as a freshman. Her strong work ethic, attention to detail and dedication to doing her best set a wonderful example for her classmates. Rose approaches challenges with determination and a positive attitude, making her a pleasure to have in class and a valued member of our school community.

Tyler Spillman, Grade 10

Tyler has demonstrated outstanding leadership in algebra class this year through his positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to take on challenges. He comes to class each day ready to learn, actively participates in discussions, and eagerly volunteers to answer even the most difficult questions. His confidence, enthusiasm, and determination create a positive learning environment and encourage his classmates to challenge themselves. Tyler understands that success in mathematics requires effort, persistence, and a willingness to learn from mistakes. He consistently leads by example, demonstrating the importance of staying engaged, thinking critically, and approaching new concepts with an open mind. His dedication to learning and positive influence on those around him make Tyler an excellent role model and a valued member of the classroom.

Kyle Goines, Grade 11

Kyle has done a great job starting this school year. He is currently attending CVCC for his Fire/EMT certificate and then coming to Heights in the afternoon for his core classes. Kyle also decided to add more to his plate by joining the Boys Golf Team, and he has been a reliable team member all season long. He is a great addition to the team not because of his golf skills but because of the person that he is. He is respectful to his opponents and coaches, supportive of his teammates, and works hard to get better each day.

Avery Miller, Grade 12

Avery is a very dedicated and ambitious student who balances her CHHS and CVCC workloads exquisitely well. Through her engagement in extracurricular activities like Model U.N., she has become worldly and aware of how her own life is both similar to and different from those of people around the world. Her communication skills are sharp and effective, as shown through her participation in Mock Trial. She stays focused in class even when others start to tune out, and her teachers can always depend on her to be on top of her responsibilities. Avery's maturity exceeds that of most of her peers, and she has solid plans to become a Navy dentist in the future. Beyond that, she has a wonderful personality and is great to be around.

Congratulations to all of our incredible students! We look forward to watching you reach new Heights!
