Students of the Month - March

The Cuyahoga Heights Board of Education's recognized Students of the Month at the March 16 Board meeting. Each month, two students in one grade level from Cuyahoga Heights Elementary School (CHES) are recognized, along with one student from each grade at Cuyahoga Heights Middle School (CHMS), and one student from each grade at Cuyahoga Heights High School (CHHS). Each student was presented with a certificate commemorating their award.

Recognized for March from Cuyahoga Heights Elementary School:

Aarushi Patel - Grade 5

Joining a new school in the fifth grade can be a big transition, but Aarushi’s teachers say she stepped into their classrooms with grace, confidence, and heart. “From your very first day, you have made a lasting impression on everyone around you, and our school family is so much better because you are a part of it,” one of her teachers remarked. Aarushi was singled out for being an incredibly hardworking and motivated learner, giving her absolute best whether a task is simple or challenging. Her teacher added that she is a gifted writer whose attention to detail makes her stories and essays a pleasure to read. Even when faced with the negative attitudes of others, she stays positive, respectful, and kind, setting a wonderful example for her peers. Furthermore, she is kind and respectful and always the first to offer a helping hand to a classmate or a teacher.

Colson Friedt - Grade 5

Since the beginning of the year, you have brought a spark to our fifth-grade classroom that makes every day brighter for your teachers and your classmates alike,” said one of his teachers. Colson is regarded for his joyful spirit and cheerful attitude. “No matter what the day brings, you walk into the room with a smile, lifting the spirits of everyone around you,” his teacher said. “A truly intelligent and genuinely curious student, he not only completes his work, but dives into it with excitement and a real desire to understand the world.” Colon’s wonderful, outgoing nature makes him a friend to everyone and makes sure that no one feels left out, creating a classroom environment where everyone feels welcome.
