About CHS

The Cuyahoga Heights School District serves the villages of Brooklyn Heights, Cuyahoga Heights, Valley View, and many tuition families. Located about four miles from mid-town Cleveland, residents enjoy the Cleveland Metro Parks and the scenic Erie Canal which pass through our school district. There are three schools in the district with an enrollment of 811 students. We provide students with a well-rounded educational experience, offering small classes which enable students to work closely with teachers and one another in an environment conducive to teaching and learning.

The district is blessed with a very supportive group of parents, PTO, mayors, and village councils. Together, everyone builds upon this excellent school district that has been recognized nationally. The integration of technology prepares our students for 21st century learning. Advanced placement course offerings enhance an already challenging and rigorous curriculum.

Cuyahoga Heights Elementary School fosters educational experiences which promote positive change in the lives of children. These experiences and the environment of the school drives cognitive, affective, physical, and social development which reflect a sense of personal worth in each child. We recognize that a strong home-school partnership is the means to success.

Cuyahoga Heights Middle and High School have a long tradition of providing academic excellence through a flexible and creative education that accommodates various teaching and learning styles. The schools offer a strong college prep curriculum and career technical training in conjunction with an award-winning fine and performing arts program. The academic programming is further enhanced to develop a well-rounded individual by providing a strong athletic program consisting of eighteen athletic teams and a wide variety of co-curricular activities.
