Scott DeTray

Scott DeTray has been Principal of Cuyahoga Heights Middle School/Cuyahoga Heights High School since August 2022. He joined the district from Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School where he has been assistant principal since 2010. He also served as principal of Brecksville-Broadview Heights Middle School from 2010-2013, and was a student liaison at Central Elementary School from 2010-2011. 

DeTray taught integrated science at Brecksville-Broadview Heights Middle School from 2002 to 2007 and Advanced Placement and Academic Physics at the high school from 2007-2010. He earned Master Teacher Designation from the State of Ohio in 2010.  He also has experience coaching football, wrestling, and track.

DeTray has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Integrated Science (grades 7-12) from Kent State University, and  Master of Education Degree in Educational Administration from Cleveland State University.  In addition he is a Doctoral Candidate in Urban Education at Cleveland State University.
