Mrs. Lyndie Schuckert
Lyndie Schuckert is a proud 1994 graduate of Cuyahoga Heights High School. She comes from a third generation CHS family starting with her father Jim Wyman (class of 1963) and his siblings, and then continuing with Lyndie’s siblings: Traci Wright (class of 1990), Mike Wright (class of 1993), GJ Wyman (class of 1996), Jimmy Wyman (class of 1998), and Matt Wyman (class of 2001). Lyndie and her husband, Rocky, decided to continue on with the CHS tradition by raising their dynamic children in Brooklyn Heights Village: Owen (class of 2022), Tegan (class of 2024), and Cole (class of 2027).
Lyndie received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Kent State University in 1998. She taught middle school math for 3 years in the Solon and Chagrin Falls school districts. In 2002, Lyndie graduated with her Masters of Education Degree in School Counseling from Cleveland State University. She has been with the Lakewood City Schools, since August of 2002, in the roles of elementary counselor and high school counselor. Currently, Lyndie is the school counselor at Lakewood City Academy, a drop-out prevention school for grades 6-12 in Lakewood.
Lyndie is a certified Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor and teaches courses within surrounding communities. She also participates on the Western Cuyahoga County School Counseling Crisis Team as a Board Member since 2004 and currently serves as Vice President. In addition, Lyndie volunteers with the group “100 Women Who Care.”
In the community, Lyndie and her husband have been actively involved in coaching several teams such as baseball, softball, football, and soccer for several years. One of Lyndie’s favorite community roles was directing the Art in the Park Program for children in Brooklyn Heights Village in 2012 and 2013. She has been a classroom volunteer, holiday party coordinator, and currently serves as the Treasurer of the CHS PTO. In her spare time, Lyndie loves cheering on her children during their events, reading, and creating things from Pinterest.
Lyndie was recently elected to the Cuyahoga Heights School Board in 2015, for a four-year term commencing in 2016. Appointments include being a member of the Board Finance Committee and BEST Strategic Planning Committee, and serving as the OSBA Legislative Liaison, OSBA Student Achievement Liaison, and a Communications Forum Liaison.
She feels honored to be elected by her family, friends, and neighbors within the three communities. Lyndie looks forward to doing what is right and working together to reestablish a STUDENT FIRST SCHOOL DISTRICT!
