Check your mailbox for the winter issue of Cuyahoga Heights Schools’ newsletter, “Heights Highlights”. Read how the district continues its track record of strong academics, music distinctions, and service to others.
In this edition, the district shares plans to place an 8.0 mill continuous levy on the March ballot to raise $3.5 million annually, after a prior levy attempt failed by just 35 votes last November. The funds would maintain excellent educational services and support necessary building repairs.
The newsletter highlights standout student accomplishments, such as the high school Model United Nations team earning multiple awards at the state conference, the "One Book, One School" elementary reading program, and veterans being honored in a school assembly.
Athletic successes are also showcased, with the football team named conference champions along with individual student honors. Other news includes a middle school Shark Tank project to pitch business ideas, kindergartners visiting an alpaca farm, students exploring art concepts, and a school-wide community service day. An upcoming Nashville music trip aims to further enrich student experiences.
