Students Inducted into National Technical Honor Society

The Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (CVCC) inducted new members into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) in a ceremony at the school on April 5. NTHS honors career-technical high school students who excel in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Membership is determined by a student’s scholastic achievement, attendance, deportment, participation in career-technical student organizations, and teacher recommendations. Final selections are made by a committee of CVCC staff.

Four Cuyahoga Heights High School students who attend programs at CVCC  during part of the school day and were inducted. They include the following:

  • Kayla Ade (junior) -- Architectural & Mechanical Design
  • Elise Biggers (senior) -- Health Careers A
  • Cade Davies (junior) -- Sports Medicine Exercise Science
  • Becky Lipowski (senior) -- Health Careers A

As the newest members, the four students will join with current members to organize activities that promote school spirit and fundraisers to help social causes.  These activities help develop leadership skills, school unity, and a sense of community.
