Student Aspires to Career Teaching Biology

In a few short years, Shai Moore could be teaching in a school district near you. The Cuyahoga Heights High School junior is currently enrolled in the Education Professions program at the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (CVCC).  She chose the program because she knew it would be a great fit with her desire to join the field of education. Shai enjoys the exciting projects done in class, as well as the student teaching opportunities that are available. She has appreciated getting to know everyone in her class, and has made great friends. She also appreciates the quality environment CVCC provides.

Outside of academics, Shai plays softball and golf. She also coaches softball during the summer months. In addition, she enjoys spending time with her friends.

After graduation from CHHS, Shai hopes to attend college out of state – specifically somewhere warm – and play softball. While in college, she plans to study biology and education with the goal of eventually becoming a biology teacher.  Shai is the daughter of Kelly Steele-Moore and Doug Moore of Valley View.
