Students of the Month Recognized for March

The Cuyahoga Heights Board of Education recognized Students of the Month for March at the March 23rd meeting. Those in attendance were presented a certificate. 

Representing Cuyahoga Heights Elementary School are

Aleah Archacki (Grade 5) 

Aleah was selected because she shows determination and consistency in her academics. “Her work is always diligently completed and she is willing to get involved. In class, she frequently has her hand raised and contributes to class discussions. Her work is always completed neatly and on time.” noted her principal Joy Houchen. She added that Aleah is polite and shows respect to adults and peers and can be trusted to be on her best behavior, even if no one is watching. She hopes to be a lawyer when she grows up.

Abram Podoll (Grade 5)

Although he did not start the school year at Cuyahoga Heights Elementary, he transitioned smoothly into 5th grade and hit the ground running, said Principal Houchen.  “He shows care and concern for his younger sister by choosing to continue wearing his mask daily. His attitude is second to none as he always comes to class prepared and with a smile. If another student is struggling, he takes initiative and offers to quietly help. He has been a wonderful addition to the 5th grade classrooms,” Houchen noted.  When he grows up he wants to be a marine biologist.

Cuyahoga Heights Middle School/High School Principal Mike Janatovich  also announced Students of the Month.

Middle School

Cailey Sane (Grade 6)

Cailey is known for being cheerful and confident.  She performs at high levels of success. 

Isaac Mocadlo (Grade 7)

Isaac is known as a kind and friendly student. He continually participates in class and is known for his epic one-liners.

Isiah Lors (Grade 8)

Isaiah is a kind and friendly student. He continually participates in class and is know for his epic one-liners.

High School

Aidan Hooven  (Grade 9)

His strength is his character which is well beyond his age in years.  He is kind to all, often seen to include and help others.

Marissa Ulery (Grade 10)

Marissa works hard every day in class and is always respectful. She continually tries to do her best. She plays cello in the orchestra. 

Becky Lepkowski (Grade 11)

Becky is a dedicated student who works well with her peers. She is on the bowling team and attends Cuyahoga Valley Career Center and is looking forward to earning her STNA (nursing assistant) certification.

Mason Jones (Grade 12)

He balances a difficult  AP schedule. He has the unique ability to approach difficult problems in class. He plans to attend Kent State to study biological research.
