BEST Committee Presented at OSBA Capital Conference

Cuyahoga Heights Local Schools were among the presenters at the annual Ohio School Boards Association’s Capital Conference held November 7-9 at the Columbus Convention Center.  Superintendent Tom Evens led a presentation of the district’s BEST (Building Excellence and Success Together) Committee before a crowd of about 50 attendees.  The BEST Committee oversees the district’s continuous improvement plan.  Its members, which include district staff, community residents, parents, students, and public officials, assist the school district in fine tuning its strengths and addressing opportunities for improvement.

The Capital Conference is one of the nation’s premier education conventions. The three-day event offers informational seminars, breakout sessions, and opportunities for learning, sharing and networking with other educational leaders from across Ohio, with the primary focus on finding creative solutions and proactive approaches to the challenges in facing public education today.
