The Hall of Fame was founded in 1990 “To Recognize and Pay Tribute to the Graduates of and Major Contributors to the Cuyahoga Heights Schools who Exemplify the Quest for Excellence and the Attainment of Outstanding Achievements.” The guidelines, categories and qualifications for induction are as follows:
GENERAL GUIDELINES
The nominees must currently be a good example to Cuyahoga Heights Schools students.
Nominees must meet at least one of the guidelines under the category of nomination.
Nominees in the first three categories must be graduates of Cuyahoga Heights High
School with at least ten (10) years interim between graduation and induction.
The nominees, if a Teacher, Coach, School Official or Employee, must no longer be
employed by the Cuyahoga Heights Schools.
The record and or the contribution of the individual must be so outstanding that there is
no question as to his/her qualifying for the Cuyahoga Heights Schools Alumni Hall of
Fame.
The nominee must have demonstrated good citizenship in Cuyahoga Heights Schools and after leaving Cuyahoga Heights Schools.
Nominees will be screened and recommended for induction by a Hall of Fame Selection
Committee of 5 people, chosen from the total membership of the Cuyahoga Heights
Schools Alumni Association.
Members of the Cuyahoga Heights Schools Hall of Fame may be removed at any time in
the future, by the Hall of Fame Committee, for failure to maintain the personal qualities
and integrity as exemplified by the membership in the Cuyahoga Schools Hall of Fame.
All candidates should be nominated on an official Cuyahoga Heights Schools Alumni
Hall of Fame nomination form or a letter meeting all the criteria and information of the
nomination form. This form can be obtained from the Cuyahoga Heights Schools
Alumni Association or on the Alumni Section of the Cuyahoga Heights Schools web site.

ASSOCIATION, 4820 EAST 71st. ST., CUYAHOGA HEIGHTS, OHIO 44125-1095
120 DAYS BEFORE THE NEXT SCHEDULED INDUCTION IN ORDER TO BE
CONSIDERED FOR THAT INDUCTION.
All nominations of those not inducted will be kept on file by the Cuyahoga Heights
Schools Alumni Association for consideration for future inductions.
CATGORY #1, ACADEMIC/CAREER ACCOMPLISHMENTS
A respected leader in his/her profession and has distinguished themselves as successful
individual in their respective careers.
National Merit Scholar
Recognized academic achievements in Cuyahoga Heights Schools and/or at the college
or university levels.
CATEGORY #2, ATHLETIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Nominees should have earned one or more varsity letters in at least one sport.
First Team All-Ohio
All-American status.
Recognized athletic prowess in college and/or sandlot/semi-pro/pro level of sports.
CATEGORY #3, CULTURAL/PERFORMING ARTS
A recognized name in the performing arts.
A major contributor to the promotion of cultural arts.
CATEGORY #4, MAJOR CONTRIBUTION TO THE CUYAHOGA HEIGHTS SCHOOL
Promotion of the school’s name and philosophy outside the district.
A major influence on the lives of Cuyahoga Heights students by example or by
Contribution.
CATEGORY #5, SPECIAL HONORARY ACHIEVEMENT
On occasion, a candidate who has attended Cuyahoga Heights Schools, but has not
graduated from the system, may be selected for this special category due to his/her
outstanding accomplishments.
