For the third time this year, Junior, Kendra Lindway has posted another new school record!!

In fact, not only did she set a NEW record by earning medals in ALL three of the events she qualified for at State, but she also broke the All-Around record she set just a few weeks ago!!

Kendra's tremendous accomplishments at the State Gymnastics Championships include the following:

2nd place on Vault with an amazing 9.7!!!

5th place on Floor with an incredible 9.3!!!

3rd place All-Around with an astounding 37.45!!!

It is quite an accomplishment to "make the podium" and earn a medal for placing in the top six in one event, but to "make the podium" in all 3 of your events is positively staggering!

Kendra was also awarded "ALL-OHIO" in gymnastics for her "Top-10" performances in the State!!

Kendra's motivation, determination, confidence, and mostly her hard work are attributed to her success this season!!

(Please see Cleveland.com with more pictures of the State Gymnastics Championships!)

The Redskins took their first step in the post season yesterday at Independence's Sectional Wrestling Tournament. It was a total team effort as the team finished in fourth place. Everyone contributed to the effort and there were plenty of exciting matches, especially in the semi-final round!
Joe Connors came up a match short of advancing and finished in sixth place, Jacob Mallos finished in fourth place. Brandon Meade had a pin in the finals to finish in third place. Luke Hopkins, Trey Combs, Chad McDaniel, and Jordan Krucek all came up short of their quest for a sectional championship and finished as runner-ups!

The top four places will advance to the District Wrestling Tournament at Garfield Heights High School this Friday, March 3rd and Saturday, March 4th.
Good luck to all the wrestlers as they continue on their State Championship Quest!
