Library Media Center

• The Elementary School Library services students and faculty grades pre-k through 5.
• Library skills and research searching skills are taught to all students.
• The Elementary School collection consists of approximately 13,000 items.  Items include books, CD ROM, newspapers, periodicals, professional collection and videos.    
• The library collection is continually updated to support the curriculum and to meet the needs of the students and faculty.
• A wide variety of periodicals are available for both students & staff. 
• An interlibrary loan service makes the high school library available to the elementary school by sharing resources between the buildings.
• An extensive collection of electronic resources are available for search and research on the secure CHS intranet webpage.
• There are 9 PC computers in the library for catalog searching and instruction.
• The love of reading is encouraged by reading to students, presenting book talks and creating reading themes as displays. 
• The elementary school library circulates nearly 3,000 books per month.
