includes educational programming for Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5.

- In October 2008, the elementary school was recognized for outstanding leadership in education by the Harvard Business Club.
- In the spring of 2008, the elementary school earned the Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School Award.
- In 1998, the elementary school was selected by the Ohio
Association of Elementary School Administrators as a Hall of Fame School.
This was a recognition of the high quality programming that is provided to
the students.
- The unique pre-kindergarten program is open to all
four-year-olds in the district and was initiated over 20 years ago. It is
completely funded by the school district.
- The staff provides a wide variety of
programs--educational, social, emotional, and co-curricular--to serve
the needs of the children.
- A grade looping program is in effect in the Elementary School. Teachers have students for two consecutive school years, in Kindergarten and grade 1, grades 2 and 3 and in grades 4 and 5
