• Each school was designated a “Blue Ribbon School” – perhaps the only school district nationwide to have every school a Blue Ribbon School.
• U.S. News and World Report magazine recognized the Cuyahoga Heights Schools for its academic excellence.
• The Music Department was honored with the prestigious “Best Communities for Music Education” for the fifth year in a row.
• The school district received an “excellent” rating on the State Report Card for the ninth year in a row.
• Newsweek Magazine previously honored CHS for its academic excellence.
• The Middle and Elementary School have been recognized as Hall of Fame Schools by the Ohio Elementary Principals Association.
• The Auditor of the State awarded the school district with the “Making your Tax Dollars Count” award for the fiscal audits. Fewer than five percent of all Ohio government agencies are eligible for this award.
• The Ohio School Boards Association selected the school district to showcase our “Student Achievement” at their state conference, attended by about 8,000 people for the 10th year in a row.
• The High School and Middle School were one of a handful of schools to receive the “Sportsmanship, Ethics, and Integrity Award” from the Ohio High School Athletic Association.
• “Buckeye Best” best lunch awards were earned by each school for nutritious meals and fitness program.
