Congratulations to Brandon Rosolowsky for placing 4th at District Diving. Brandon will compete at the State Dive Championships in Canton, Wednesday Feb.22 at 9:00 a.m.

Congratulations to Jordan Adkins for placing 6th in the Girls Swimming 100 Breaststroke. Jordan will compete at the State Swimming Championships on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 5:00 p.m. @ Canton.

Congratulations to Bailey Rosolowsky for advancing to the Girls Varsity Gymnastics District competition @ Riverside High School on Saturday, Feb. 25th.

BOWLING ....

Congratulations Boys Bowling Team for placing 3rd at Sectionals. The Bowling Redskins will next compete on Feb. 25th at AMF Twin Star Lanes in Kent @ Noon.

On Thursday, February 16th, the Boys Varsity Bowling team traveled to Wickliffe Lanes for Sectional competition. Vying for four spots among sixteen teams from Lake, Geauga, and Cuyahoga Counties, the boys finished 3rd overall and earned themselves a trip to Districts!

The team, comprised of 3 Seniors: Jim Korenowsky, Nick Jezerinac and Steve Sokolich; and 5 Juniors: Mike Cimperman, Josh Keller, Alan Kmiecik, Jim Schaffer, and Matt Sokolich, took their efforts wire-to-wire as they held third place for the length of the tourney.

The team cracked millennium mark in game 2, shooting 1017 and shot over 200 twice during Bakers with a 235 to open and a 223 in game 4. Their team total of 4001 was enough for a cushy 124 pin lead over the fourth place squad.

WRESTLING .....

Four Wrestlers qualified for the District Tournament that will be held this weekend at Garfield Heights High School. Nick Orr (106) and Nate Frye (113) were Sectional Champions. Nick Chuha (132) finished in 2nd place. Cory Pucci (120) finished in 3rd place. Bryan Jones (182) and Chris Galaska (195) finished in 5th place which makes them both District alternates.

The following athletes competed in the Northeast District Championships held at Cleveland State University on Feb. 16 & 18 ...

Girls 200 Medley Relay - Miranda Martinez, Jordan Adkins, Chelsea Morinec, Christine Adamo - 11th place, New School Record

Boys 200 Medley Relay - Brandon Rosolowski, Brad Detore, Billy Mareda, Stephen Attewell - 12th place, New School Record

50 Free - Brad Detore - 11th place

Diving - Brandon Rosolowski - 4th place, STATE QUALIFIER

Boys 200 Freestyle Relay - Billy Mareda, Brad Detore, Brandon Rosolowski, Stephen Attewell - 11th place, New School Record

Girls 200 Freestyle Relay - Chelsea Morinec, Christine Adamo, Amber Dzik, Kaitlynn Gervase - 18th place

Girls 100 Backstroke - Miranda Martinez - 17th place

Boys 100 Backstroke - Brandon Rosolowski - 28th place, Billy Mareda - 21st place, New School Record

Girls 100 Breaststroke - Jordan Adkins - 6th place, STATE QUALIFIER

The Girls Varsity Gymnastics team competed in Sectional Competition @ Brecksville HS on Saturday, February 18th.
Bailey Rosolowski will advance to District competition @ Riverside High School on February 25th.    Bailey placed 3rd on the Floor (9.2); 4th on the Vault (9.125) and 6th in "Overall" competition.

Girls/Boys Basketball Tournament Tickets are on sale in the Athletic office. All tickets at the gate are $6.00. If bought at school they will be $4.00 for students and $6.00 for adults. Please purchase your tickets through the athletic office so that we can make 40% of the profit!

Senior Night for bowling, boys basketball, and cheer will be on Feb. 21st before the start of the boys varsity game at 7:15.

In lieu of a Middle School Sports Assembly night, each Middle School winter sport team will have their own recognition night. The Middle School Boys Basketball Team will be recognized Tuesday January 31st at the Boys Varsity Basketball halftime. The Middle School Swim Team will be recognized at the February 7th Boys Varsity Basketball game during halftime as well. MS Wrestling recognition night will take place on Tuesday Feb. 21st at halftime of the Boys Varsity game. Please call your Coach or the Athletic Department with questions.
